Crock Pot Beef Stew
Crock pot beef stew recipes for cooking in your slow cooker. With Barley 2 c. carrots (baby) 1 1/4 c. mushroom (sliced) 2 lbs. beef chuck steak (boneless, cubed) 1 envelope Onion soup mix 2 cans beef broth 1 can tomatoes (do not drain, diced) 2 c. water 3/4 c. barley (dry pearled, not cooked) 1 c. peas (frozen) 1/2 t. salt 1/2 t. pepper Put in slow cooker carrots, then mushrooms, then meat. Mix together onion soup mix, broth, tomatoes, water and barley. Put over vegetables and meat in slow cooker. Cook: Low 8 to 10 hours, or High 5 to 6 hours. Add peas, salt and pepper. Stir. Cook: Low 10 to 20 minutes
With Beans 1 to 2 lbs. stew meat (cubed) 1 c. onions (chopped) 1 T. olive oil 3 potatoes (cubed) 1 can tomatoes (crushed, do not drain) 1 can cream style corn (drain and rinse) 1 can Lima beans (drain and rinse) 1 can carrots (drain and rinse) 1 T. Worcestershire sauce 3/4 t. salt 1/2 t. marjoram 4 slices bacon (cooked crisp, and crumbled up) 1/4 t. red pepper sauce Put meat, and the onions in a frying pan with olive oil heated up. Medium Heat. Brown the meat all over. Spray slow cooker bottom and sides with Pam cooking spray. Put everything except the red pepper and the bacon in the slow cooker and mix. Cook: Low 8 to 10 hours.
