Crock Pot Chicken Breast

A crock pot chicken breast recipe. You will love the orange flavor of this dish.

Ingredients

2 T. olive oil (extra virgin)

8 chicken breasts (skinless, boneless)

1/3 c. orange juice

2 T. honey

1 t. salt

1 t. brown sugar (packed)

2 T. cornstarch

1/4 c. water

5 to 6 cups rice (hot and cooked)

In a pan heat up the olive oil over medium to medium high heat. Sear the chicken on both sides (about 1 to 2 minutes).

Mix together orange juice, honey, salt, and brown sugar in the slow cooker.

Put the chicken breasts in on top of the orange juice mixture. Turn the chicken several times to coat them with the mixture.

Cook Low for 6 to 8 hours.

Take the chicken out of the slow cooker.

Turn crock pot to high.

Mix in another bowl the cornstarch and water, then put in crock pot.

Stir well.

Add chicken back in and cook another 30 minutes till sauce is thick.

Eat over rice.

Serves 8 people.
