Crockpot Recipes with Weightwatcher Points
We had a request for crockpot recipes with weightwatcher points included.So we asked Aunt Sally who has done great on that program what she recommended.These are her 3 favorites! We hope you like them too!
Chicken- 1 bag frozen vegetables 2 T. tapioca 2 lbs. chicken (cubed) 2 c. chicken broth 1/4 c. brown sugar 1/4 c. teriyaki sauce 2 T. dry mustard 1 t. ginger Put brown sugar, broth, teriyaki sauce, mustard, ginger in a bowl and mix well. Put in vegetables, tapioca, then chicken. Pour mixture above over chicken. Cook: High 4 to 6 hours or Low 8 to 10 hours Serve over rice. Makes 8 servingsPnts: 4
Chili 1 lb. lean ground beef (should be 10% or less fat) 2 cloves garlic (chopped) 2 T. chili powder 1 t. cumin 1 can tomatoes (crushed) about 28 oz. 1 can red kidney beans (rinsed and drained) about 15 oz. 1 onion (sweet) chopped 1/4 c. chiles (diced) 2 T. tomato paste 1 t. oregano Fry ground beef with garlic in a skillet. Drain off the fat. Add chili powder, and cumin. Then stir. Put tomatoes, beans, onion, chilies, oregano and tomato paste in slow cooker. Then stir. Stir in the ground beef. Cook: High 4 to 6 hours or Low 8 to 10 hours. Makes 8 servings.Pnts: 2
Stoganoff 1 lb. beef (top round...cubed) 1 c. beef broth 1/3 c. sherry (dry) 1 onion (small and chopped) 2 cloves garlic (minced) 1/2 t. oregano 1/4 t. salt 1/4 t. pepper 1/8 t. thyme 1/2 c. sour cream (fat free) 1/4 c. flour 2 T. water Put beef, broth, sherry, onion, garlic, oregano, salt, pepper, and thyme in slow cooker. Then stir. Cook High 4 to 6 hours or Low 8 to 10 hours. Put sour cream, flour, and water in a mixing bowl and stir. Add 1 cup hot beef broth from the slow cooker into the mixture and stir. Then put into slow cooker. Cook: Low 30 minutes Makes 4 servingsPnts: 5
