Our frozen chicken crock pot recipe is a great time saver. This is something a little bit different. How to get 4 to 5 meals out of one roasted poultry (turkey can be used also).
One Roasted Poultry many uses
Recipe:
1 nice size poultry frozen (4 to 5 lbs.)
2 chicken bouillon cubes
Water to fill
Put frozen chicken in slow cooker. Then put
chicken bouillon cubes and water to almost the
top of cookers rim.
Cook: Low overnight
Take chicken out and separate meat from the bone.
Dinner options: (Serving 4 people per meal you can use 4 of these ideas below, plus one soup)
Sliced roast
Pieces cut and used in gravy - pour over toast, potatoes, rice, or biscuits
Pieces cut up and used in a Stir Fry
Pieces cut up and used on a salad
Pieces cut up and used in a casserole
Pieces cut up and used in fajitas, tacos, enchiladas,tostados
Ground up (usually chop mine) mixed with mayonnaise and pickle for sandwiches
Bones can be used for soups: vegetable, noodle, rice, leek,or even potato.
