Two Simple Stew Recipes

Stew Recipe 1

1 T. vegetable oil

4 lbs. stew meat pieces

1 can Tomato Soup

1 can French Onion Soup or Beef Mushroom

1 T. Worcestershire sauce

1 pkg. frozen vegetables for stew (potatoes, carrots, celery) or 5 cups frozen vegetables (carrots, small whole onions, cut green beans, cauliflower, zucchini, peas or lima beans)


Heat the oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook until well browned, stirring often. Pour off any fat.
Stir the soups, Worcestershire and vegetables in the Slow cooker.
Cook: Low 8 to 9 hours or High 4 to 5 hours

Stew Recipe 2

3 lbs. stew meat
1 can tomato soup
2 bags frozen stew vegetables
1 envelope onion soup mix
1 cup water

Add all ingredients to crockpot.
Cook: 4 to 5 hours on high, 10to 12 hours on low. Season with salt and pepper.
